Whenever an iPad is not working correctly, please try the following steps before submitting a ticket to tech help:

  1. Close/quit the app and then reopen it.
  2. Turn the iPad completely off (don't just put it to sleep) and then turn it on again.
  3. Delete the app that is causing problems and then reinstall it from Self Service (before deleting the app, though, make sure that any data or materials in the app are backed up somewhere).
  4. Perform a "hard reset" on the iPad:
    • Hold down (and continue to hold down) the Home button and the On/Off/Sleep button until the iPad turns off all on its own (do not use the power off slider) — this usually take 7-10 seconds.
    • Turn the iPad back on using the On/Off/Sleep button

If all of the steps above have been attempted and the iPad is still not functioning correctly, please submit a tech help ticket.
